Rajasthan being strangled to death...

Bangalore is a totally different team from the dispirited one of last year...they are so chirpy and their bowling is absolutely amazing...to restrict a team to 14 runs in 5.4 overs, taking 2 wickets is nothing short of superb...keep the good work going!

Are cheerleaders supposed to have brains?

Quite surprised to see the Bangalore cheerleaders getting their bums to do the talking when Praveen Kumar gets out....aren't they supposed to be sad?

PS - Dravid has just creamed a six off Munaf...amazing..

And an amazing catch by the skip Warney to dismiss Dravid...jumped at full stretch...quite amazing for a 39 year old who claims to not have touched the ball since the last IPL...looks like he's foxing us with that claim yet again! :D

Kamran Khan's action....

....looks a bit jerky to me.

Maybe it's just me, but I just get a bad feeling that he seems to have the arm bent till at least a second or so before the release of the ball..

I just hope he doesn't get called for throwing because it'll be shattering for the young lad.

However, I don't think it will happen because I don't think King Warne would've let him bowl if he felt he had a jerky action...it's well known that he really isn't convinced about Murali's action.

However, I was feeling mixed when I saw Kamran sliding to the ground in his run-up..the nerves really seemed to be jangling...but he recovered and bowled extremely well in his first over..

Pakistan not co-hosting WC and Modi finds better ways of making money!

Wow!

OMG!

I can't fuckin' believe it!

I never thought the day would come!

Pakistan is not co-hosting the WC 2011...

Did it have to take the ICC so long?

Thank God for that, or else we would've had half the teams not going to Pakistan, which would've ruined what promises to be a miserable tournament, with or without Pakistan.

As for the I(SA)PL, Modi has brought in a 7.5 minute time-out in between matches so that players can discuss tactics. It is to be taken after the first 10 overs of an innings....

Whatever I may say about Modi, I have to say, he is quite clever...getting $2 million in ad revenue for each time-out is just plain clever.

He has also ordered broadcasters to get in 2000 seconds of advertisments during the match.

Now this is quite impractical, according to the broadcasters, who say that, in theory, they would have to have an ad-break of 40 seconds between overs and 1 minute between wickets. This is considering that each innings will last 20 overs and the team will lose 10 wickets. If not.....

In order to implement all this, Modi has brought in a new set of fines..
- 1st offense carries a $20k fine for the captain
- 2nd offense carries a $20k fine for each member of the team
- 3rd offense carries a team fine of $360k and skip is banned for 1 match..

Well, it's for you to decide whether Modi is being clever or if we are going to watch only 4-ball overs on TV...

Gerrie Snyman for England?

It's a well known fact that England really don't have a lot of big hitters....

Was just looking through cricinfo and saw this article on Gerrie Snyman, a Namibian dude who has played 35 first-class matches and scored 2285 runs at a strike rate of 72. Limited overs cricket: 1951 runs @ a SR of 110.

Perhaps they should try to find some long lost English uncle of Snyman so that they could get him in the squad for the T20WC, like the Netherlands did for Aussie Dirk Nannes, and get him to teach the other English players to play shots like this...

ECB, I require a commission for suggesting the idea, or I shall kick you in the arse, Mr. Clarke (some relation to Michael Clarke? Possibly another Aussie spy who knows Urdu!)

Aussies sending spies to disrupt England Cricket!

All in English cricket, beware!

Uncle JRod is right!

Cricket Australia (CA) has sent spies to disrupt English preparations ahead of the 'all-important' Ashes season.

The spies, coming under the names 'Claydon' and 'Thorp' have knocked out the first 5 wickets of the MCC team, including the England hopefuls Vaughan, Key and Bell.

All is gloom and doom for the Poms!

Bring back Darren Pattinson! ;D

Cricinfo can really be stupid at times...

..by putting a news like 'Hughes seeks advice from Waugh' as the main news...

Jeez...

What the fuck is so great about that?

Okay, he gets advice from 'The Ice Man', but does it really impact anyone (other than the Poms)?

It should have been at the bottom of the page rather on the very top...

However, I should say that Cricket365 really takes a humorous view of issues and is very informal, thereby making you feel more at home...

However, nothing can beat Som's Doosra, who really takes the mickey out of any issue that crops up in cricket...really does a lot to relieve the tension in cricket..:)

PCB lost their balls somewhere?

Man, I was jumping up and down when I saw that the PCB had included 3 ICL players in the prelim squad for the T20 WC.

Finally, someone was going to tell the BCCI to fuck off.

However, these buggers have backtracked and kept them as reserves.

Jeez, doesn't anyone have the balls to challenge the BCCI juggernaut?

Perhaps we should be giving an honorary award to Sky Sports for keeping Macca and not changing the timing..

England's win is England's Loss

With all due credit to Mike Holmans of the Cricinfo blog, Different Strokes, it just seems like bad news to English limited overs cricket that they won the bilateral series against West Indies.

Why?

Because they happened to be extremely lucky in that Duckworth, Lewis and Dyson gave them quite some assistance in their wins.

None of those wins really left a feeling in you, something like "Wow, England were absolutely great in that match", not like the feeling I'm currently having looking at the scorecard of the second match between SA and Australia (where Australia received a right royal thrashing).

It just gives Strauss a good chance to give that 'Colgate smile' of his and say "Hah, I'm the first English captain to win a series in the Carribean".

Also the fact that Strauss was given the 'Man of the Series' award seriously smacks of stupidity. I mean, one good innings gives you the MoS? He reached his hundred in the second match only near the 45th over, which is quite gobsmacking.

Perhaps it's because he played fairly well considering he's made a comeback.

However, this win creates some serious headaches for the selectors ahead of the World T20 Championship, who would've wanted a good excuse to fire Strauss as limited overs captain so that they could get someone else better.

There isn't anyone better in the team, so I would propose a left-field selection such as Rob Key of Kent or even Dimi Mascarenhas of Hants (who actually is in the team on merit).

I've heard good things about both, and perhaps it's time for the English selectors to be more adventurous. Get your asses movin', selectors!

England have a...

....rat's chance in hell of winning the Ashes!

Honestly, looking back to the SA tour to Australia, I thought that we might see a repeat of that series, but it now looks all bleak. Aussies are soaring sky high and don't seem to have a limit (Mitch Johnson becomes an all-rounder, Hughes is super reliable, Sizzle gets better, the list is endless...), while England are going down, down and down! With KP deciding that he wants to have his wife for long tours, it just shows how unsatisfied he is with the whole dumping thing of him, and it really isn't going to help as it's a well-known fact that he is England's ace card!
